Electric Purgatory: the fate of the black rocker (trailer) is a documentary on the struggles of the black rock musician and the stigma they face in the black community and the music industry.
Filmmaker Raymond Gayle tells the story combining live performance footage, historical images, and interviews from many of Black Rock's elite such as Fishbone, Vernon Reid, Sound Barrier, Jimi Hazel, Cody Chesnutt, God Forbid, and Doug Pinnick.
Join us for the screening of Electric Purgatory: the fate of the black rocker, on Feb 15th and 18th, 2006 in Los Angeles at the Pan African Film Festival with special presence of Lonnie Marshal (Weapon of Choice) and Tory Ruffin (Fishbone).
