L.A. legend, Roger Perry has passed 6 Aug 2024. Roger was Fishbone's first manager, starting in 1984, when he got turned onto the band by another band he managed, the Bus Boys. He also went on to manage 24-7 Spyz in 1989. As Jimi Hazel (24-7 Spyz) put it: "Anyone who encountered Roger quickly discovered the depth of his musical knowledge, how absolutely hilarious he was and how supportive of the music and the bands he loved."
Roger was featured in the documentary Everyday Sunshine: the Story of Fishbone where he explained the reason, according to him for Fishbone's lack of commercial success: "Had Fishbone been less of a democracy, they might have been a more successful band. But hat they been less of a democracy, they wouldn't have been Fishbone."
This last year, Roger shared his stories with the familyhood on the So Many Millions Facebook group. Our condolences go to Roger's family and friends.
