Originally booked as a “co headline” bill playing 2000 seats and less across the country. Back then it was known as a “Fox Theater Tour.” But little did anyone know what was about to happen. We were already on the road before the Beasties album hit the shelves.
Before 2 weeks had passed, it was now sole headline for Beastie Boys and the tour was at 5000 seats. Two weeks later, 5,000 to 15,000 seats. The only reason it wasn’t full arenas is because they’d all been booked for the year! With them holding the #1 slot for both single AND album, it really should have been 25,000 seats and up.
