It was our first time in the UK, first gig in London. Angelo had a knack for climbing once he got out on top of the crowd. As I remember there was a pretty significant barricade and security guards at the front so Angelo really didn’t have much chance of getting past it and up on top of the crowd. Angelo saw a way from the stage to the balcony by climbing up the PA speakers and then across the opera boxes and he proceeded to climb all the way up to the front rail of the balcony. Once there, he rallied the kids beneath him to get ready to catch him. It was a good 20 foot drop, maybe more, but once he had assembled a bunch of kids beneath, he went for it. Swam on top of the crowd all the way back to the stage. This was completely against the house policy as no stage diving or mosh pits were allowed so, to them, it was as if Angelo was thumbing his nose at the theater rules and “encouraging destructive behavior” from the crowd. We were instantly informed we would never play the Town & Country ever again.
