Yeah man, that wa me with the sticker on my shoulder! I wish we could
have met. Good lookin' on Noonan's part as he spotted me and said
hello. Excellent show despite the obvious obstacles. It was cool to
see the crowd diggin' the older tracks, but the crowd didn't seem too
familiar with the newer tracks. It's a shame because the newer tracks
are great songs to sing-a-long to at shows. Afterwards at the autograph
session (which I believe was also attended by Living Colour's Muzz
Skillings), the bad was mad cool (what else is new?). I said to Angelo,
"You guys need to goto bed." His response, "What's a bed?" I also said
to the whole bad that Hollywood needs to get off their asses to promote
the band with at least a video to which they all agreed in a somewhat
frustrated manner. I did have a great time!

What a show in Central Park! That was fun!!!
It wasn't the usual marathon show they do, but it had
all the elements of a great great show. I think the show
was much better then the Limelight show. The large crowd
was nice to see. And it seemed like all the older soldiers made
it a point to attend and participate. I think they hit thier stride
after about the 4th song. Aids and Arm. and Karma Tsunami
definetly were highlights of the show. Angelo was really into into Aids and
Arm. It was a solid show. The band seemed to be feeding off
the crowds energy. Norwood and Dirty Walt seemed to be having alot
more fun then the Limelight show. They were smiling constantly.
The crowd def showed their love. Chants of "fishbone is red hot!"
was heard thoughtout the show. I was kinda getting chills after some songs
cause it was nice to finally see them with a big audience who was loving
every minute of it. (i was the guy wearing a blue shirt with a dancing cat on
the front and the cat bugging out on the back.)
I knew the Central Park show was gonna be fun, but it was even better
than i expected
Once again, Thank u Fishbone!

I made it up there from Virginia at 3:30 so was very happy that the band was
delayed. The Everyday Sunshine was so tight! I think it was their best song
yesterday. It was a good feeling to see fishbone in front of so many other
people. Diry walt had more enery than I'd ever seen him with.
After the show we saw Joey Barron play with a guitar player at Tonic. Man
Joey has got to be the greatest drummer on earth! He played with sticks,
brushes his fingers, and his feet. Many of you know him from Masada and
Naked City.

I had a slammin good time even though my friend didn't really seem
interested. I was lookin for the Uno players in the front, but I didn't see
anyone. I was on the left side by the soundstage in the front. I was the
black chic with the curly hair and a black tee with jeans. I did get on line
for the signing. F-bone signed my CD insert and my homemade tee. I took
several shots during and at the signing.
Of course, I got Muzz Skillings autograph too. I definitely was not gonna
pass that up.
The concert was the bomb. The sound sucked, but the F-bone soldiers dealt
with the shortcomings. I missed being in the Apple. I love seeing the
different folks (I hate livin in Baltimore).
It was great seein Fishbone. I'm sorry if I didn't see or recognize anyone.
Peace Out!!!

Wow! I didn't think I'd be the first to report on Fishbone's show in
Central Park, but here goes. It's kind of silly at this point to compare this
show to one of Fishbone's shows from 10 years ago, but I will say this: this
was probably one of the best shows I've been to in a few years. All the
elements were there, big crowd, huge pit, gorgeous weather, the mixing scents
of herb and sunblock to mask the the smell of B.O. and of course, Fishbone.
In spite of a marathon flight from Amsterdam and some audio problems that
knocked out Angelo's theremin, they really did rise to the occasion. I don't
really remember the set list although I did take some pictures. As soon as I
get them developed, I'll try to send them to fishbone.net.
Aside from that, it was great to meet Michael Noonan and Nico (not from
France).
Andy, I think I spotted you earlier with the Bad Brains shirt and the FBone
sticker on your sleeve, but when I came back from the port-o-san I lost sight
of you. To you and anyone else I missed, maybe next show.

P.S. Ballsiest fashion statement of the day had to be the the guy who crowd
surfed wearing only an orange mini skirt, a thong, panty hose, and flats.
Gotta love New York.
PPS NYCers, try to watch the channel 5 10'oclock news after the game. I
spotted their camera crew on the side of the stage. At this point, any
publicity is good publicity. I'll try to tape it.
