I'm not much of a reviewer from the musicianal side (i think i just made up that word), but from an observers stance at the santa barbara show- its was a fuckin blast!! there was a good turn out as far as the amount of ppl there. it wasnt completely packed, but that made it a hell of a lot better for dancing. the only downside was since Soho's is a dinner/dance/bar kinda thingy, they were still serving dinner when One Nut*Stand went on, so the dance floor was pretty stagnant, except for this one chick who was definitely getting her grove on, but i think she was pretty high up there on the intoxication charts, but hey- at least she was dancing. but the cool thing was that even though fools were still getting their grub on, you still saw lots o'heads bobbin and ppl rockin out in their chairs. and it was also cool cause you could tell that the earlier crowd was just there to eat, and had no idea who any of the bands were, and they were still rocking out. but by the time the 2nd band went on, the dinners were cleared and the club started filling up. and unfortunately to tell ya the truth, once again i dont have too much recollection of individual things that happened that nite (dont worry, i had a designated driver), but all remember is dancing, drinkin, and lovin life. and that was pretty much the vibe of everyone. everyone seemed to get really, really into it which was cool. (i really didnt know what to expect of the sb-vibe, ive only been to LA/Hollywood shows) i definitely think they need to continue on w/the split personality shows though, cause even the ppl who i met who never even heard of the bone, nutmeg, etc completely enjoyed it. thats bout all, bill, you have anything to add? also, did anyone go to the san diego show? how was it there?
