Mais Ă  la fin en partant Angelo a criĂ© :" see you tomorrow at the rex club!".

ENGLISH

The secret show the day after the zenith 93: "tonight we will have a party to break everything !!". So in fact at the zenith, fishbone was headlining, but started around midnight. Many people left before and during their concert. I believe, apart from it was Clinton a little more than ten years later, that no concert ended after the last subway: it was an entertainment showand angelo doing the wheel with cane and hat.
But at the end leaving Angelo shouted: "see you tomorrow at the rex club!". I paid attention because I had heard rumors a few days ago, but that nothing had confirmed before that moment.
I think even that's where I learned the name of the venue.

I had pointed early especially for fear of not being able to enter as the day before they had played before a full zenith: the concert was sold out (7500) but I think we wer 3000 around at the end as it finished overtime. But that night at the rex there was only 100 people. Not that the number of viewers was limited but only 100 knew or moved. It was well before the internet so the secret concerts apart from those of Prince, were really secret. Prince had even stopped playing the rex club, because systematically cd bootlegs were coming out.
I remember a guy who told me he saw the rhcp around 87/88 in that same venue.
Angelo opened the door in the manner of Mr. Loyal (the circus host) with translucent cane and top. It was the first time I thought I saw one of my idols or a rock star.
He sold his first book of poetry but 1st version photocopied in B & W, which I did not buy because I had spent my 100FF for the ticket.
He was the only one who had mixed up with the public, he was french kissing all the girls (you will say as usual) He was quite drunk and could not sign (it was before the show not sure.. memories) And so he had a fishbone stamp (I think an unofficial trick and he had to find it in a small store) So he stamped my ticket rex club 100 francs (without the name of the group because the sale was on-site on the back of the ticket.
The rest of the group was at the back of the club on benches in the dark but I did not dare go.

So around 1h, 1h30 ...
My biggest slap and my biggest memory of fishbone. I had the feeling of another group compared to the previous day and a completely different set list: with a single song in common on both sets.
To see them so close in a small club: the day before it was at the zenith(7500 attendance), or that generally they played at the Elysee Montmartre in front of1500 fans. We broke all the time the mouth as the floor of the rex club was hyper slippery and angelo had to fall 30 times on my head. Already Party in intro is not so frequent that I think. At the time when a band played in a club they made a different repertoire with more old songs than they played on tour. When I come out I see a roadie, or a club dude, throw something in the trashcan outside. It was a Fish stick : I had caught the day before at the zenith or that same evening on the rex a first fishstick so I had a pair!
And so if a group on 2 days could do a concert so different: I became after this show fishbone soldier for life!

They had to play the following Saturday in the Parisian suburbs, and I had left an exam in the university after an hour to go there, but unfortunately a gang fight happended in the municipal park where the concert took place : sowhne i arrived it was closed and cancelled So in a few days a summary of fishbone.
