well aparently none of you soldiers made it to the Philly show, cuz here it
is, about 24 hrs later, and i've heard nothing about it. Well I made it, and
it was most certainly the best show I've ever seen (seeing as how I've seen 2
bone shows ever). Anyway, I must agree with most everyone who's given the
shows this week great reviews. The magic is most certainly back. As you all
said, Norwood looked to be having a great time, contrasted with last spring's
tour when he mostly stood still. It's good to see the 6 members of Fishbone
(no matter who they are). and not a couple of stand ins. Before the show I
got to say a few words to Angelo who was printing up some more of the
aforementioned shirts (I also purchased one). I didn't ask him anything
important or worthwhile (of course), I just generally made a fool of myself,
which is to be expected, because I haven't talked to the guy on numerous
occasions as many of you have. I told him that I think Unuttednations is
really started to get going (I do), and that whatever negative stuff that was
sed (i wasn't sure if he was aware, apparently he was) was all behind us. He
was like "yeah, it's just us man, we're doing it all ourselves." I told him
that we all realize that and respect the hell out of Gaston for doing what
he's doing. I also told him it was my birthday, and wondered what the chances
were of seeing some flying fish. Alas, there were no flying fish, cuz the
crowd wasn't packed in enough. Once the show got going the crowd was crazy
tho, It was one great pit. The experience of a Fishbone pit is one of the
most unique and incredible experiences a person can have. I can't even begin
to describe (altho I'm sure you can identify) how great it is to see huge
macho nazi-looking guys high fiving black guys and asian guys and just people
of all races and all everything going nuts. There was a woman who had to be
at least 40 and looked like someone's mom, and she was tearing shit up in the
pit. During Party at Ground Zero (last song of the encore), I couldn't keep
my balance and at least 4 people immediately grabbed me and pulled me back up.
I have never been prouder to be a Fishbone soldier.

They started with "Unyielding.." and played some upbeat light stuff first.
Only one encore, Swim then Party at Ground Zero (like 8 minutes long at
least). The only surprise for me was that they didn't play more of the new
songs that they have been playing this week.
AFter the show I told Gaston what I'd told Angelo earlier, and he seemed
grateful for the kind words.
Well there you go, no new info, pretty much the same set list as it was all
week....can't wait until the next east coast tour.
Jonas.
