We barely made it to the show, due to the fact we had bad directions to the place. We came within about 10 minutes of missing the reason we came up this dive in the first place, considering we were expecting Fishbone to come on about an hour later. Anyways it was a great show that opened with Unyielding Conditioning, one of my more favorite Bone songs. I can't really remember the exact order of the setlist but I'm pretty sure the other reviewer was pretty accurate on the songs they played, with the exception of Ugly and Give It Up, which I don't think were played at all at this particular show. After the show I was able to meet up with Angelo and have him sign my ticket stub, which was cool. I was also glad I was able to witness one of Dirty Walt's last shows with the band, I was unaware at the time that he was even planning on leaving. Overall the show was great, it was a good year and a half ago, but I thought my first Fishbone experience was important enought to re-live.
Setlist
Please not that this setlist is incomplete or not in order.
I was a litle suprised that there was no opener, and the show started out
with Fishbone, but that was fine with me. I got to talk to Spacey and Angelo
before the show, and since I still have a hard time believing Spacey and
Walt are leaving I asked him about it, and he actually sounded kind of
excited about it. Here is the setlist in no particular order
Ugly
Cholly
Date
Give It Up
Karma Tsunami
Ma & Pa
Bonin'
Pressure
Alcoholic
Last Days
Let Them Hoes Fight
Everyday Sunshine
Sunless Saturday
I may be missing one. For some reason Behavior Control Technition keeps
popping in my head, but I'm not sure. No encore, which was dissapointing. I
was directly under Wood, and he seemed to really be enjoying himself. I've
never seen him smile so much. After Last Days he pointed down at me and
said, "Dude, this cat knew every word." I must admit it brought a smile to
my face. After the show I got to talk to Angelo and John a little. I also
saw Norwood for a second, and when I brought up what he said on stage he
said, "Man, that was awesome." Great to see that they can still get that
feeling off thier fans. Despite Angelo hitting on my girlfriend off and on
all night (John told me to pop him in the eye, but I just can't do that), it
was a great show and I had a blast. Too bad it will be the last time I see
them with Spacey and Walt. They never even came out after the show.
