Fishbone has never failed to impress. Their energy was high, they worked their asses off, and of course they were tight - damn!!!.

The crowd was so so, the venue was so-so, and this is ultimately what fails Fishbone most often. There were a handful to a dozen soldiers and a few weird characters. If you were there then you will recall the dude with hiis head dyed red that was infatuated with "Where'd you get those pants", the fat lady that helped herself to the stage not really understanding that CHOLLY isn't just a song about loving the fattys, and finally and my favorite there was the guy impersonating U2's Edge from like 93 (knit cap, sleeveless T, and leather pants) - I think he was in the opening band.

All in all a great show. I am still amazed these guys continue to do it the way they do it. These motherfuckers are in their 40's people. I woke up sore, and these cats are doing this how many nights a year.

the new lineup is my favorite in a long time. Dre really brings something special to the group, and Rocky, McKnight, and C are just plain badasses. I have especially mourned the loss of Fish, JB, and Dirty Walt, but this new crew is clean, and they bring a really cool attitude that hasn't always been there in the last 15 years.
