I remember seeing an off the hook Fishbone show at the old Aéronef, in downtown Lille, back in 1992, in the wake of the LA riots.  This time around was no different.  Though they did not get to play in the big stage which hindered a lot of stage movement, a great deal of positive energy was shared between the stage and the moshpit,  Angelo singing the first half of alcoholic, upside down, hanging from ceiling technical rails.  Chim chim back on the set list! Yahoo!!!  Lots of soldiers who also were in Brussels the week before. the set was shortened by damned curfews, it could have lasted another 15 min to give this soldier his fix.  My deepest apologies to the soldierette whose hand i bruised, if you read this.

My second date in this tour. Smaller venue but very nicely packed and people there came to party starting with the band members.

My personal highlights: Finally getting to meet properly Arne from Gent and Christelle and Fab from Brussels who were kind enough to give me a lift back to Brussels and allow me to have some sleep before heading for Paris (even if we looked for the car for half an hour :-). Yannick and Alex from the region who came to Brussels were also there. Another highlight was to see our "Denis National" dancing and singing during Fuck the Bass Player by Inspecteur Cluzo.

The stage was pretty small which limited the usual instruments switches but Fishbone made the best of it and shared their energy with the audience. Similar setlist as in Brussels but with Chim Chim's Badass Revenge! as an extra and an amazing performance of Angelo during alcoholic.

I really enjoyed the show a lot even if it was cut a little short by the organizers. I think that maybe 40% of the audience never saw them live but they were all blown away and left with a big smile on their face. Angelo, Dre and Wet Daddy were around after the show for a nice chat.
